    Hi guys,

My names Joe, and as you can probably tell from my thread subject, I'm; 1) a newbie to this forum, and 2) someone that doesn't tend to take life too seriously.

I've been playing online casino's for a few years now, and have stayed away from commenting in forums because I have a fear I could spend so much time on here getting advice and giving advice haha.

Feel free to fire me a message to say hello. If not, see you in the discussions boards!

Welcome to the forum Joe, Joe Hood..

That's actually a pretty cool name.. Is that your legal name or an alias? Either way no judgement, I use an alias but Oportosanto uses his real name ;) He was named after the Porto Santo Island because it translates to Holy Harbour..

You can call him Holy Harbour for fun.. We all do...

Haha, so I see you are inspired today @RyanWeb :p, but Porto Santo is actually a paradise destination for holidays. :)

(hijacking @Joe Hood intro thread haha)

I don't live in Porto Santo, but I've been there a couple of times on holiday, and we stay a 5 minute walking distance from the ocean. I actually live in Lisbon, maybe 20 minutes by car from the ocean. I love it. :) I understand you are really far away from it now eh? I guess you miss it a lot.

Welcome to the forum @Joe Hood! Things are a bit quiet around here at the moment but things will pick up soon enough no doubt and we shall have a proper chat son.

On the subject of names, pwarbi isn't my real name and I certainly don't live anywhere exotic either so I'm feeling a bit left out, haha...I could always make something up I guess and say I live in Monaco...I'll have a think and get back to you!

I can't say Lisbon is an exotic place really, but it's a great place to live. I think you are in London right @pwarbi, so that's not a bad place at all, just the climate that sucks. :p

Every city sounds exotic I think unless you live there yourself. And you was close @oportosanto, well...the right country anyway just the opposite end! Manchester...home of Manchester city FC, Oasis and...erm...me!

Sorry @pwarbi, I forgot you are the City fan. Mourinho doesn't look so far away right now does he? :) Never knew Oasis were from Manchester, great band back in the days! :)

    Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't been on here for a while, just got back from a 2 week break in Mauritius! Totally worth it, would highly recommend. Now I'm recharged and ready to rumble ;)

Regarding my name, Joe is my real name, Hood is named after 'Lucas Hood' from 'Banshee'... my favourite TV show... Please don't judge haha.

My favourite game is Texas hold'em. I actually got into it when Facebook used to have games... from there on I have played on and offline for years. My strategy and reading of tells could be better; but when you're behind a screen, it's a lot harder!

    Mauritius? You are banned! :D

I'd love to go there, anywhere with heat and summer would do for me, as the winter in Portugal has been terribly cold!

Never heard of that Banshee, so no worries here. :p Yeah, I've spend hours and hours on Zynga Poker as well, I was a high-roller there. :)

    Welcome back. ;)

Haha it's beautiful! Flic en Flac and Troux aux Biches are world class beaches. Doesn't quite beat Sardinia for me though!

It's an awesome series, check it out.

Maybe I can learn from a high roller... ;)

Sardinia is on my wish list for sure, interesting to know that you consider it to beat Mauritius. :)

Well, we can learn from the best, just be patient, and wait for a good hand, usually impulses and poker don't get along. I lost over 100 million there in a matter of seconds lol. :)

    Oh yes, 100%

Google 'Tuerredda beach', and 'Villasimius Beach' and you'll see why!

£100m :O Dealing with those numbers and you haven't been Mauritius or Sardinia yet? Probably spending time in Vegas or Bora Bora I would imagine ;)

Looks really good, I love the color of that water... :)

Actually $100.000 Zynga credits haha, it was the only time I had one of my accounts hacked, they hacked my FB just to steal my Zynga credits believe it or not!

LOL if I had 100m the last place you would find me is Vegas.. Vegas and maybe Hollywood might be the most misrepresented places. Living in-between both for most of my live, they are far less glamorous then they are depicted.

Yeah, being an ocean away I see both Vegas and Hollywood as the best (that's what the movies tell us), but why do you say they are not glamorous?

Hollywood is really bad, lot of drugs and homelessness. Vegas has gone down that way as well, both have pretty high crime now. You can still have a great time if your out for a concert or whatever.. But I often wounder what people from out of state or country think when they first see it in person.. I imagine its a big disappointment especially for those who have spent a fortune or waited their whole life to visit.

There are other places that are much nicer, Laughlin for instance is like a mini Vegas, but on the river.. Its actually about two hours from Vegas but much nicer. I think about 16 casinos in total all along the river.

OK, so I am assuming that picture is from Laughlin? It looks awesome indeed, I am picking that over Vegas when day when I visit. :)

Sadly, that's the reality of big cities, drugs and crime. :( I was in Tokyo once and they put the homeless on blue tents in parks, so they are creative there.
