As of today; August 7, 2016 Bovada puts the Republican Party at +275. So I made a nice $50 deposit, played some blackjack up until $200 and made a few bets on the underdog..

Last week when I checked the odds where only +100, today its +275 and I am sure a lot will change between now and Nov.

I realize I may be betting on the future of America here, so no hard feelings for those who don't want to wish me luck :)

Feel free to bet opposite of me if thats your thing, the current bet for the Democratic Party is -350 (meaning for every $100 you would profit $28.57 in a win).

That is a pretty sharp change in the line and it makes me wonder if something happened. Also, is that what they call it when you are gambling on politics...the line? I guess I just assume that they are using the same terms as in sports betting, but I am really not sure. It is interesting to think about, and I am willing to guess that they are pretty accurate odds. Thanks for sharing.

well defintely one or the other is going to win, so you can make sure that you make that bet. I don't actually have cash available for a large bet though..so I am not sure it is one that I will make. It sounds interesting though..I will keep it in mind should circumstances change.

So you are betting for Trump. If I bet on an American, I would also bet on Trump, even though I don't like republican party of its candidate. American people wants change. They saw a Democrat President for 8 years, now they want to see a Republican in White House.

I am not 100% sure on the terminology but as it is listed under sports betting, I would believe you would be correct.

I agree, America is no longer leading the free world, and I think a change is due.

Good Luck Ryan! What Vinaya said hit the nail on the head. I'm very curious how this will play out.

If there was the opportunity i'll bet on Obama. Wish he stays for a long time. Not Trump or Hillary...
