Ah, well when you put it like that. $2 isn't much to lose.

But then again, I've seen my casino and betting accounts go down to the last few pounds and it's clouded my judgement! I've thought 'whatever' and just thrown it away on huge odds bets haha.

Well, I wasn't actually down so much on the casino, I just spent too much money, you know, girls and alcohol, the worst of the combinations out there. On the road home I just found myself in the situation to have only about 2$ left, I've done the only thing that seemed logical to me in that moment.

The casino if you let it can certainly take away more than your money but your dignity aswell.

As you say, really when you think about it, it's all the vices your mother probably warned you about but all under one roof and its no surprise that it can be too much to take for a lot of people.

Wow, that's quite a story. You must've had Lady Luck with you that day. When you have the chance, you'll have to send over some of your luck. :)

That is the best story! I love when things like that happen. It makes you feel like you're the luckiest person. I have won at most half of my rent, but it was still worth investing the last $5 I had in my pocket for another 24 hours. Congrats!

Thank you, but I hate the fact that this story might be inspiring for so many persons, in fact it was all just luck, nothing more, probably the same day I won, 10 people lost a large amount of money at that same machine I played. I wouldn't advise anyone to do what I did, there's no guarantee someone can get that outcome or even me can get that outcome ever again. You know what they say about luck, it's best not to force it.

That has to be one of the luckiest stories i've heard so far on slots! The universe looked out for you that day! :)

I remember when I really needed money (for food, it was urgent) I ended up on a slots casino site and they gave you £10 to play with. Ended up winning almost £40 from the free £10 (no deposit needed) and I was so happy - unfortunately I became greedy thinking it could turn into something in the hundreds and i'm embarrassed to admit I lost every penny.

I'de love to try my luck on the slots in a physical casino and this time be responsible!

Holy Jesus, you definitely were on your lucky day indeed, it must feel awesome when you earn something and you do not even know how you earn it or you did not even know that was going to happen, something similar has happened to me in the past but was not as cool as what happened to you, good story htough.

Unfortunately that's simply the human nature, to get greedy when you see that a thing flows, if you would have the same chance, probably you'd just do it again, when you see you are winning like crazy, your brain does not work the same way, at least that's the way online casinos are built, if you were in a physical casino, you would hit and run, after that you'd just think about going back, but the fact that you need to move physically would stop you, when it comes about online casino, it's a lot much easier to go back, and just they thought of winning more drives you crazy sometimes.

@RenegadeYes I was, it is still a little unclear how I earned them as I simply played, probably just hit a machine which was hard played that day.

That is epic. I once got down to $5 and realized I was going to lose a $300 bet. However, in the last spin I got wheel of fortune and it paid out $375. I walked off at that point. So much fun!

I also have a few happenings like those, my belief is that these are simply "wake up" signs from a higher power, some kind of second chance to rethink what you're doing with your life. 300$ unexpected loss can really affect the way your life will go in the next month or so.

Lol those unexpected winnings. They are not so uncommon but certainly don't happen to everyone. Good thing that you were enough in control of your common sense and walked off. Some people would think they touched a leprechaun or something, and then lose everything as sudden as a fingersnapping.

I once turned $5 into $300 and back to $0. I figured I was gonna go big or go home. I went home. LoL.

Glad to hear the happy endings with some of the big risk bets like this. @genevb :) And @iGamble you actually did both. :D You were like Super Mario. you got the mushroom and went big, but then got hit by the goomba and went small. Next time, you'll make it back to your castle!

That's something that every person dreams of. Glad to know you walked away at the right time too. I usually walk away when I'm up about $100 because I've seen far too many times that people want to push the envelope and test their luck and then never know when to say no and end up losing it all. Great story with an even better ending. Have you been back since? Ride the streak while it's still hot!

Well, those are the kinds of things that always happen to "other people" at least in my case. It is awesome you were able to win so much money though. That is why people go to the casino I think. It is just one of the things that you can do, and feel comfortable with. Make sure that you get the fun you need when gaming at the casino, and hopefully it will turn into cash.

That really is quite a story and some amazing luck. I can only wish to experience that kind of luck in my next few plays. I would not push further than that and I'm glad you didn't either, sometimes you just have to walk out while you're ahead.

Yes, it was something like a "get out of jail free" card at monopoly, some divine power telling us to leave while we still can, and maybe never come back. I have a friend who was about 3000$ in debt at a point, he got a win of 2800$ with the last money he had at him, he left thanking God for that, he used to say that it was a wake up call.

I had a very similar experience and was able to pay rent. I was living in Missouri and just lost my job. I started to get behind on rent. At the time, I really didn't gamble much at all. My boyfriend used to run sound and lighting at the casino when they would bring in musical acts to draw a crowd. I desperately needed the money, so I agreed to work with him for the day as a roadie. It's grueling work for a man, let alone a woman. You have to lift speakers over your head all day and other pieces of heavy equipment. I was behind in rent though by 300 bucks so I figured I could tough it out. The gig only paid $100 bucks for the entire day and we each got a check from the casino. Well, at the end of the gig, we all cashed out checks at the cage because if you did, the casino would comp us dinner. I was intending to cash all my chips right back out, but my boyfriend wanted to stay and play, so I decided to spend $25 of my hard-earned winnings.

I got lucky and got a seat at third-base on a blackjack table. It was one of those tables with a side game. The side game is called "Super Sevens". I wasn't intending on playing the side game but when the dealer asked me, I put the dollar there anyway. Lo and behold, I got three suited sevens..... which netted me $5000. Needless to say, I was never late on rent again!
